Collection of National Gallery of Victoria


The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is located in Melbourne, Australia.  Founded in 1861, it is the oldest and largest public art gallery in the country.  NGV’s holdings include a collection of Old Masters including works by Bernini, Rembrandt, Rubens, Tiepolo, Tintoretto, Paolo Uccello, and Paolo Veronese, amongst others.  Also in the collection are Greek pottery, European ceramics, textiles, fashion, photography, and Australian Aboriginal art.
