Collection of Österreichische Galerie Belvedere


The Österreichische Galerie Belvedere is an art museum housed in the Belvedere palace in Vienna, Austria.  The two palaces that make up the Belvedere are considered to be one of the world’s finest Baroque landmarks.  The museum houses a collection which includes masterpieces from the Middle Ages and Baroque up to the twenty first century contemporary art.  The focus of the collection is on Austrian painters from the Fin de Siècle and Art Nouveau period.   Well known artists with pieces on display include Gustav Klimt and Egon Schiele.
