Collection of Musee d'Art Moderne, Musees Royaux des Beaux-Art de Belgique


The Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium located in Brussels was founded over two centuries ago and is now home to over 20,000 paintings, sculptures, and drawings dating from the fifteenth century to present.  The Royal Museums consist of the Ancient Art Museum, The Modern Art Museum, the Wiertz Museum, the Meunier Museum and the Musee Magritte Museum.  Highlights include pieces by Van der Weyden, Robert Campin, Pieter Brueghel, Anthony van Dyck, Jacob Jordaens, Paul Rubens, Jacques-Louis David, Paul Gauguin, Pierre Bonnard and James Ensor, among others.
