Collection of Narodni Muzej


Narodni Muzej, or National Museum of Serbia, is located in Republic Square in Belgrade, Serbia.  Established in 1844, it is the largest and oldest museum in Serbia and since it’s founding has grown its collection to over 400,000 objects, including 8,400 drawings and prints and 5,600 paintings.  The collection includes artifacts from the prehistoric era, the Middle Ages, and modern international and Serbian art.  The 3rd floor of the National Museum holds an art gallery with a large collection of national and European art including pieces by Picasso, Monet, Renoir, Matisse, Cezanne, Degas, and Petrovic.
