Collection of Fondation Beyeler

The husband and wife team of Hildy and Ernst Beyeler gathered a fine collection of works of classical modernism.  In 1982, their private collection was converted into a foundation and in 1989 it was opened for public exhibit.  The Fondation Beyeler, located in Riehen, Switzerland, is a collection of some 250 pictures and sculptures of modern art.  Artists represented include Monet, Cezanne, Van Gogh, Picasso, Warhol, Lichtenstein, and Francis Bacon.
