Collection of Villa Flora
Hedy and Arthur Hahnloser-Buhler amassed a quality collection of Swiss and French art between 1907 and 1930. The focus of the collection was young Swiss artists and works of the Nabis artists such as Bonnard, Vallotton, and Vuillard; Fauves including Matisse, Rouault, and Manguin; and their forerunners, the fathers of Modernism including Cezanne, Van Gogh, and Redon. The collection is still housed in the collectors’ former home, Villa Flora located in Winterthur, Switzerland.
