Collection of Tate Gallery
Tate Britain is an art gallery located in London, England which holds the national collection of British art from 1500 to the present day as well as international modern and contemporary art. It opened in 1897 as the National Gallery of British Art and is the first gallery established in the Tate network which also consists of the Tate Modern, Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives. The collection of Tate Britain includes work by Hogarth, William Blake, John Constable, John William Waterhouse, John Everett Millais, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, JMW Turner, Francis Bacon, and Henry Moore. The collection of Tate Modern includes works of international modern and contemporary art dating from 1900 to present with artists Claude Monet, Anish Kapoor, Barnett Newman, Mark Rothko, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, and Andy Warhol.
