Collection of Museum of Art, Rhode Island School of Design


The Rhode Island School of Design and its art museum are located in Providence, Rhode Island.  The museum was founded in 1877 with a modest $1,675 and now has a collection of 84,000 significant works of art.  The collection holds a broad range of works from around the world and features artists such as Barlow, Stuart, Goddard, Townsend, Picasso, Monet, Manet, Paul Revere, Van Gogh, Matisse, Cezanne, Degas and Andy Warhol
